vitoexcalibur proposes that debate moderators be issued a buzzer to cut off candidates "answering" questions other than the ones actually, y'know, asked.
When I am ruler of the universe, VitoExcalibur will be in charge on alternate Tuesdays, because Yay.
Which reminds me, there's been an answer to my fruitfly question! A gold star for foomf.

The Tanuki likes this idea, but he just suggested we take it one step further and use a taser each time. They might learn faster that way...
Now, now. No point jumping all the way to that extreme from a dead start. It's not as though the candidates are currently demonstrating themselves to be slow learners -- nobody is trying to hold them to a standard of "please answer the damn question".
It would be like beating a dog for getting up on the couch, when you've never previously shown any sign that you minded.

From that perspective, can we rub their noses in their own pee?
